WBSSC Group C and D Recruitment 2025 Notification, 8477 Vacancies Announced
Good news for the aspirants of West Bengal. West Bengal School Service Commission (WBSSC) has released an indicative notification mentioning that a total of 8477 posts will be filled for Group C and D posts. Out of these 8477 vacancies, 2089 are for Group C posts and 5488 for various Group D posts. It is a sigh of relief for the aspirants as they have been waiting for a long time for vacancies in Group C and Group D posts in Schools.
The WBSSC has mentioned that the detailed notification will be released on 31st August 2025 on the official website of WBSSC, i.e., https://www.westbengalssc.com. The commission will conduct the selection process to fill the Non-Teaching Staff in recognised Government Aided/ Sponsored Jr. High/Secondary/Higher Secondary Schools in West Bengal. Candidates will be able to apply online for the posts on the commission’s website from 16 September (5 pm to 31st October 2025(5 pm), and they can deposit fees till 31st October 2025 (11:59 pm)

In the Group C exam, there will be a total of 60 questions covering four subjects: General Knowledge, Current Affairs, General English, and Arithmetic. Wheras, the Group D exam will consist of 45 questions from three subjects: General Knowledge, Current Affairs, and Arithmetic. The duration of each exam is 1 hour (60 minutes).
